Managing Part-time Workers

If you manage part-time workers you might want to check out this article. I was one of many people quoted in this article that originally appeared in Office Solutions Magazine in an article written by Mark Rowh.

Those quoted make some interesting points regarding managing part-timers.

1) Highly accomplished people are choosing to work part time.

2) Why are they part time? Their motivation, and your key to engagement, depends on the answer to this question.

3) Part-timers have a harder time fitting in. Make an effort to include them.

4) To get loyalty and productivity from part-timers, you must treat them both equitably and individually.

If you want to read the original published in the April 2008 issue of Office Solutions Magazine – without the typos – you will need to register with the Office Solutions website.
